Per article in the Sioux City Jjournal:

Private Recil L. Montgomery, 21, of Sergeant Bluff a Marine who fought with the United States forces on Bataan Peninsula, Phillippine Islands has been reported missing in action. according to word received by relatives from the War Department. 

His parents Mr and Mrs Roy E Montgomery reside in Onawa.

Recil's niece is Rosann A (Watkins) Wink of Salix and currently Sergeant Bluff
