Keith entered the U.S. Army at Fort Polk, LA for Basic Training June 19, 1967 and went on to Airborne Training and Military Police Training.  Keith served as an MP with the 173rd Airborne Brigade in Vietnam from Jan 25, 1968 to August 25, 1969.  Keith was awarded the Army Commendation Medal for his service.  He was discharged at Fort Bragg, NC June 18, 1970.
