World War I casualty. Pvt., Co. A, 129th Infantry. Gassed in action October 4, 1918 and died in a French hospital at Bar le Duc on October 15, 1918.

Buried in the Meuse-Argonne American Cemetery.

Son of Mrs. Kirstine Nelson, Sergeant Bluff, Iowa.
